After 12 years walking through the front gate to a mustard coloured home, the lovely family of this expansive block in Randwick decided it was time to update their homes exterior colour scheme and create some much needed street appeal.
With a mixture of render, brick and timber surfaces to be worked on we had our work cut out for us. Timber surfaces required extensive repairs, the front double storey windows had been exposed to some harsh conditions over the years with a north facing aspect and were in desperate need of attention. Due to the unique design and immense size, replacement costs were significantly high. Our ability to repair the timber work saved our clients this expense and the time to source and secure quality trades to complete a full replacement.
The existing mustard colour covered the majority of surface area, so for the new colour scheme our clients wanted something cool and neutral, close to white but with a slight tone through it. It was important to consider the colours within the surroundings of the home including the lush greenery of the gardens, natural timbers around the outdoor entertaining area and the existing fence colour in Monument by Dulux Australia.
